The A8 Viewpoint encompasses both technical and non-technical standards. The standards specified in the A8 view can be applied across the architecture to a variety of structural and behavioral elements. Standards are essential to the coherent running of businesses and to the delivery of reliable, interoperable systems.
Usage
The intended usage of the A8 includes:
- Application of standards (informing project strategy).
- Standards compliance.
- Forecasting future changes in standards (informing project strategy).
- Specifying standards that will have an impact on the architecture and the capability it is to deliver.
Creating a Standards table
To create a Standards table:
- Click on Standards in the Action Artifact area, and then select Create New Diagram.
- Type the diagram name and press Enter.
- This opens the table of Standards. Click on New Standards above the table to create a new row.
- Enter the details of the standard.
