The Pr Viewpoint provides an overview of how Resource Assets change over time (note that NAFv3.1 only allowed for Capability Configurations whereas now this is opened up to all Resource Types). It shows the structure of different versions of Resource Assets (usually Capability Configurations or Service Implementations) mapped against a timeline.
Usage
The intended usage of the Pr includes:
- Development of incremental acquisition strategy.
- Configuration Management.
- Planning technology insertion.
Creating a Configuration Management table
To create a Configuration Management table:
- Click on Configuration Management in the Action Artifact area.
- This opens the table of Configuration Management. Click on New Configuration Management Item above the table to create a new row of Version of Configuration.
- Enter the version number.
- Select the Resource Type / Service (i.e. CapabilityConfiguration, System, ResourceArtifact, Software, Technology, NaturalResource, Post, Responsibility, Person, Organization, ServiceSpecification, ResourceArchitecture, Project).
- Set the start and end date.
