AV-2 – Integrated Dictionary

The AV-2 presents all the metadata used in architecture. An AV-2 presents all the data as a hierarchy, provides a text definition for each one and references the source of the element.

The intended usage of the AV-2 includes:

• Explain the terms and abbreviations used in building the architecture.

AV-2 is a table list and defines elements used in architecture. Each entry in AV-2 consists of the following properties:

• The name used for this element in the architecture.
• Alias (i.e Alternative names) for this element.
• The definition of the element.

Creating an Integrated Dictionary table

To create an Integrated Dictionary table:

1. Click on Integrated Dictionary in the Action Artifact area, and then select Create New Diagram.
2. Type the diagram name and press Enter.
3. This opens a table where you can add and manage the definition of architectural elements.
4. Click on New Integrated Dictionary Entry above the table.
5. Select an architecture element to define.
6. Enter its alias and definition.
